The researchers and teachers at the IAAI are deeply motivated to improve their students' key abilities such as general creativity and professional as well as communicative skills. To achieve this goal educational content is tightly coupled with practical application.
Thus, the IAAI provides our students with state-of-the-art technology and spaces to conduct high-level research in the field of applied AI to account for future developments already today.

In March 2021, we strengthened our research in the field of human-machine-interaction with the inauguration of our new "Humanoid Lab." We focus on the social and ethical issues that naturally arise with ever increasing technological progress in this field.
Our interdisciplinary team combines researchers from the fields of engineering, humanities and empirical psychology in a unique manner.
